Computer Studies Education Major

An online program for teachers with a work component. The goal of the Computer Studies Education program is to provide teachers with the information, skills, and mindset necessary for leadership, research, and teaching positions in the field of computer studies.

The Program

The profession of computer studies is expanding quickly, and qualified teachers are in high demand. Turn into one of them. You will enroll in computer studies education; courses online as well as electives in computer studies. You’ll be equipped to work in educational settings such as schools, libraries, centres, and others, teaching computer studies; and technology to children and adolescents.

The Computer Science Education program at the Centre4eLearning is being offered in collaboration with Gideon Robert University. We offer a fully online graduate program, Degree program and Graduate Level program designed for teachers seeking to teach evidence-based, equitable, and accessible computer studies curriculum within their primary and secondary schools.

Why this Program?

This major, which is accessible to all undergraduate students, trains you to instruct young people in computer studies and technology in schools. In addition to computer studies classes at Centre4eLearning, you will also take education electives and computer studies courses at our collaborating universities.

HANDS-ON LEARNING OPPORTUNITIES

The computer studies education program prepares candidates for a career teaching computer studies courses in Zambian schools for learners in grades 8 through 12. Programming, web development, app development, computer hardware, networking, databases, ethics, and methods of teaching computer science are just a few of the computing topics covered in the curriculum.

Few academic fields provide more potential for impact and creativity in a world that is focused on technology and changing quickly than computer studies (CS)
